We started this tradition last year, impromptu. Let me say it was so much fun that we had to do it again this year.............bigger and better. Everyone plans their performance and song(no lip syncing allowed). They were hilarious this year! There is a new much coveted award(see trophy below). The kids even put on a show. They named themselves the Sizzlers. It was so humid outside, but the stars managed to put on a fantastic show.
The kids LOVE being with their older aunts and uncles and cousins SOOOO MUCH. Alex has two big cousins that are college football coaches, so he LOVES being with them as they give him a good run of football and they even make time for baseball. Thanks Shep and Steadman for always being so wonderful to Alex, he loves you guys SOOOO MUCH. Audrey thinks she is bigtime when she spends time with her Aunt Livi(whom she adores), Caroline and Gigi. Thanks girls for making Audrey feel so special, you are making such great christian impressions on her life and I thank you for that! {BIG HUGS }
I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day. Before the show begins we pay tribute to those who have served the military for this great country we live in. Thank you soldiers for your courage and committment to this country and the people who live here. Thank you to the mothers/wives of these soldiers who sacrifice so much that their husbands/sons are gone and you must bare that time. Please know you are in our prayers!

This sounds like such a nice way to honor our soldiers. And fun. The children will remember these get togethers all their life and hopefully remember that they weren't just another family reunion.
We have a son and son in-law who have been to Iraq and our daughter is in the army also. Her and her husband (the above mentioned son-in-law are at Ft Lewis, the son has since gotten out.)
Check my blog at livelyppop.blogspot.com and I have some songs from army veterans on there. They are really good.
Bless you all.
